Title:  ARR 1801 in "Runway Train" (Now Respondek 1800)
Description:  Heres Alaska Railroad 1801 in a Screen Shot from the 1986 Film "Runaway Train." Today, This unit works for the Respondek Rail Corp. as #1800. Note the High Hood in the movie. This hood is FAKE, nothing more than Plywood. You can tell because its higher than the Long hood. This unit, and the trailing unit, 1812, both recieved Fake High-Short Hoods for the Film. The road number of this unit was confirmed by a former employee, Obie Meeks, who also appeared in the film on "Eastbound 12" as the Engineer. He was the Master Mechanic on the Alaska when the film was shot. Other Units in the consist include GP40-2 3010, F9A 1500 (Retired, now on display in Anchorage, AK) and GP7's 1801, and 1812. The 1801 was spared from any damage in the film, unlike the 3010 and 1812. PHOTO IS A SCREEN SHOT FROM THE FILM.
